Catio 2: Penthouse Run | DIY

This intriguing catio is accessible from a skywalk that leads out of the side of the house to a fence line filled with enrichment and discovery. Nora built this catio herself based on lots of research and decisions about what would work best in her yard and for the cats. She plans on adding multiple elements to the existing catio such as a chicken coop and open grounds for the cats to play in safely. Being able to have a catio design that can evolve is a wonderful way to keep things interesting for the kitties, and we can’t wait to see what Nora comes up with next!

The Catio Tour is part of the Cats Safe at Home campaign, which seeks to reduce the number of cats living outdoors in the Portland metropolitan area in a humane and environmentally responsible manner. We believe that every cat deserves a safe home where they are loved, cared for, and kept free from hazards. The Catio Tour was created to offer inspiration for those looking for ways for their cats to have safe outdoor time. We hope you enjoy this year’s Catio Tour!
